The role of a website

Three jobs, one weak link is enough

The three stages of a website that produces enquiries Being found, then convincing, then triggering the action. Under each step, what makes it fail: not appearing in the results, a site that does not inspire trust, an action that cannot be found or takes too long. 1 · Being found Google, social media, word of mouth 2 · Convincing Clear offer, proof, prices or benchmarks 3 · Triggering Call, form, booking WHAT BREAKS HERE The site shows up on no useful search Nobody understands what you sell, or to whom The action is hidden, long, or missing
A website that excels at two stages and is weak on the third produces nothing.

What it changes

The brochure and the website that works

Same business, same writing budget: only the intention of the page changes.

What it changes, point by point
  • No search leads here: the title names neither the trade nor the area.
  • Nothing answers the questions people ask before buying.
  • The expected action is not named.

What it changes, point by point
  • Get found — the title carries the trade and the area.
  • Convince — the offer, the proof, the price markers.
  • Trigger — a named action, reachable without searching.

Starting point

Redo, or start from scratch?

Repairing costs less — when there is still something worth saving.

A redesign is enough

A redesign is enough

  • The website still receives visits
  • The texts describe the right business
  • You have usable photos
  • The problem is visual, mobile or speed
  • Pages are known to Google

A new build is healthier

A new build is healthier

  • Unusable on a phone, or no longer online
  • Lost access, unreachable provider
  • The content no longer matches the offer
  • Unmaintained technology, therefore exposed
  • No visibility to preserve
How the diagnosis decides

Three elements, examined on the evidence: what Search Console says about your current website, the real quality of the texts and images, and the technical state of the foundation.

What to send us: the website address, read access to the statistics if you have them, and the list of what you sell today.

Choosing

Four formats, four uses

The format is chosen on the expected action, never on the number of pages.

The four website formats and their use
FormatWho it is forWhat the visitor does
ShowcaseLocal business, tradesperson, practice, shop with no online salesUnderstands, feels reassured, calls
ProfessionalSeveral offers, several audiences or several sitesFinds their way, qualifies themselves, requests a quote
E-commerceSelling products, with stock and shippingSearches, compares, pays
Landing pageA campaign, an offer, a launchA single action, decided in advance
What to prepare for each
  • Showcase — description of services, real photos, opening hours, service area.
  • Professional — a considered site structure, content for each offer, possibly a second language.
  • E-commerce — product sheets and photos for each product, delivery, VAT and returns rules.
  • Landing page — a single promise, one proof, a short form. Nothing else.

Two costly confusions

Two shortcuts that cost dearly, and what they conceal.

A landing page is not a website

it does not rank on its own and is replaced with every campaign.

An e-commerce site is not a showcase with a pay button

catalogue, stock, tax, shipping and after-sales service are daily work.

Scope

What is delivered. And what is not.

The second column prevents more misunderstandings than the first.

Method

Six steps, four sign-offs

Nothing moves on to the next step without your written approval.

The six steps of a website project Discovery, scoping, content, mock-up, development, go-live. You approve at four points: the scoping, the content, the mock-up and the final acceptance. 1 Discovery 2 Scoping YOU APPROVE the site structure 3 Content YOU APPROVE the copy and images 4 Mock-up YOU APPROVE the visual direction 5 Development 6 Going live YOU APPROVE the acceptance start
Four checkpoints: that is where a disagreement is settled, not at go-live.
What slows a project down — and what speeds it up

What delays: content that does not arrive and sign-offs that drag on. In the vast majority of cases, it is not the development.

What speeds up: a single decision-maker, photos available from the start, a list of offers settled before the content stage.

Ownership

Everything is opened in your name

The domain name

Registered with a registrar where you have your own account. Nothing to transfer if you leave.

Hosting and files

Account in your name. Files and database handed over on request, in a standard format.

Analytics accounts

Created under your email address, Projexo as a mere administrator. The history remains yours.

The offers

How much does a website cost?

Prices live in a single place on the site: the Projexo Digital pricing page, à la carte or as a bundled offer, excluding VAT, with what each service includes.

Before deciding

Ten questions that decide

A redesign is justified when the material exists and partly works: usable content, some SEO history, pages that already receive visits. A new build is justified when the current site has no reusable content, no sound structure and no visibility to preserve. The diagnosis decides by looking at three things: what Search Console says about the current site, the quality of the texts and images, and the technical state of the foundation.
By default, you provide the material: what you sell, to whom, your prices if you display them, your photos. Projexo structures, formats and rewrites for the web. Full copywriting and the photo shoot are à la carte options, billed separately. A project with no material provided and no copywriting option stops at the content stage: it is the most frequent cause of delay.
The accounts are opened in your name and you own them: domain name, hosting, audience measurement, advertising accounts. Projexo accesses them as an administrator in order to work. At the end of the relationship, the access remains yours and there is nothing to buy back. The detailed terms are set out in the terms and conditions of sale.
No firm lead time is shown on this page until it is confirmed in the quote. The duration depends first on you: the availability of content and the speed of sign-offs weigh more than the development itself. The quote sets a schedule with the sign-off dates expected on your side.
No. The design is built on a base of components reused from one project to the next: grids, buttons, cards, forms. What is customised is your colours, your typography, your images, the structure of the pages and the journey. That is what keeps the lead time and price manageable. A graphic identity created entirely to measure is another trade, and another quote.
The Showcase Website includes the essential pages: home, services, about, contact. The Pro Website has a richer structure — one page per service or range, sales sections, news. The e-commerce website is defined during the project study. Every page needs text, images and an intention: if you provide the material, it is integrated; if you ask Projexo to write it, standard copywriting is billed per page.
No, and it is important to say so. The on-page SEO delivered with the website covers the foundations: titles and descriptions, heading structure, readable page addresses, lightened and described images, sitemap, Google Business Profile declared if you have one. Ranking durably on competitive queries requires ongoing content and authority work, which is a separate service.
A support period follows delivery: it covers corrections to what was delivered, not changes or new pages. Beyond that, maintenance is a monthly option: technical updates, backups, uptime monitoring and small corrections. The exact duration of the delivery support is being confirmed and is stated in the quote.
The website is delivered with a consent banner and a privacy policy, and the measurement tools only fire after the visitor's consent. This does not constitute legal validation: compliance also depends on what else you collect, on your subcontractors and on your retention periods. A check by a lawyer remains recommended.
No. The WhatsApp button opens a conversation with your number: it is a link, it does not reply on its own. The WhatsApp bot is a separate automation service, which answers common questions, books appointments and follows up. They are two different things, at two different prices.

Going further

What goes with it

Each area of expertise produces material that the others reuse. That is what makes a combined offer cheaper.

Five lines are enough

What you sell, to whom, your website address if you have one, and what the visitor should do. You receive a reasoned opinion on the format to choose.
